Install ClockworkMod Recovery on Canvas HD A116/A116i

Using this guide, you will be able to install ClockworkMod recovery on your Canvas HD A116/A116i


Video Tutorial

Step 1:

Download the package - - http://d-h.st/QFv

Step 2:

After unzipping the package, open the SP Flash Tools application, Flash_Tools.exe

Step 3:

Remove the device battery, SIM and memory card

Step 4:

In SP-Flash tools, click on Scatter-Loading Button
In the new window, browse to the MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt you just downloaded
Select the file and the list will be automatically filled

Step 5:

Click on Options in the menu bar and make sure USB Mode is checked.
Then in DA Download All, select Speed and check Force to High Speed

Step 6:

Click on Download or press F9
In the resulting message, click on Yes

Step 7:

While pressing the Vol. Up button on the device, connect it to the computer via USB

Step 8:

After the progress bars are finished, you will see a green circle on the screen.
Remove the cable and insert the battery
The installation is successful

To enter the recovery mode, simultaneously press the Vol. Up and Power button till the Canvas HD Logo appears

Install CyanogenMod 7.2 on Samsung Galaxy Y

Install CyanogenMod 7.2 on Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360




In order to install CM7.2, you need to download the following files:

1. ROM - - Download: http://d-h.st/hti
2. Kernel - - Download: http://goo.gl/Fj6EbQ

Download and place the files on the root of the SD Card

I assume that you have already rooted and installed ClockWorkMod Recovery on the device


Step 1:

Enter recovery mode by simultaneously pressing Vol. UP + Power + Middle buttons

Step 2:

Go to Mounts and Storage

Mount System
Mount Data
Mount Cache

Step 3:

Install zip from SD Card
Select Cyanogen#2.zip file
Select Yes

Step 4:

Go to Mounts and Storage

Format /system
Format /data
Format /cache

Mount System
Mount Data
Mount Cache

Step 5:

Install zip from SD Card
Select cm7.... zip
Select Yes

Step 6:

Reboot

The first boot will take some time, so please be patient. After the device boots, you can enjoy stable CyanogenMod 7.2 on your Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360

Install MIUI on Canvas HD A116/A116i



MIUI ROM developed by Xiaomi Tech, is an aftermarket firmware for cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. The latest stable version is MIUI V5

To install MIUI on Canvas HD A116/A116i, you need the following zip package
Download - -
http://d-h.st/eTV

Before proceeding, make sure you have made a backup of your current software.

So lets begin

Step 1:

Copy the downloaded zip on the root of your sd card (internal/external)

Step 2:

Boot your device in recovery mode (cwm/twrp)
P.S. Normal recovery is not tested, proceed on your own

FOR MOVEMENT IN CWM, USE VOL. UP/DOWN FOR MOVING AND POWER BUTTON FOR SELECTION

Step 3:

Wipe data/factory reset --> Select Yes
Wipe cache partition --> Select Yes

Step 4:

Go to Advanced
Wipe Dalvik cache --> Select Yes

Step 5:

Go to mounts and storage
Mount everything
Format /system --> Select Yes

Mount /system again


Step 6:

Go back
Select install zip from sdcard
Chose zip from sdcard

P.S. If the file is on the internal memory, select above option. If the file is on the memory card, select Install zip from external sdcard

Step 7:

Go back to the main screen
Select reboot system now


The device will now restart itself. The first boot will take some time, so be patient


After this, enjoy your Canvas HD with MIUI ROM

Micromax to release KitKat for its devices

Not so long since the other manufacturers started rolling out the updates, we have another MMX leak. Just after WickedLeak has announced a KK update for the Z+, a leak specifies that MMX is working for the KitKat updates on its devices

If the sources are to be trusted, then its true; Micromax, the Indian mobile giant is reportedly developing android KitKat for its flagship devices.


According to the recent tweet by MMXNewsCaster, which is known for Micromax leaks and nearly all of them turning true, MMX KitKat is a work in progress. Here's the tweet:



It clearly shows that the flagship models viz. A250, A240, A210, A200, A117, A116 and its clone A116i, A114, A111, A110, A110Q will be getting the kitkat updates.
Also it shows that some of the devices will be getting a 4.1.x update as well.

So about time, though there's no ETA specified, one can be sure that this company is trying to keep the markets occupied; provided the leaks re true

Repair a bricked Galaxy Y (S5360) || Install original samsung android on Galaxy Y (S5360)

So hello everyone, this tutorial contains the same instructions as in the YouTube video. Just to make sure that the information reaches to everyone and is told in the simplest way possible, here we are with the guide. So lets begin :)

BEFORE BEGINNING THE GUIDE,  I PRESUME THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE INSTALLED THE DRIVERS AND EXTRACTED THE PACKAGES


Step 1:

Open Odin Flasher in administrator mode

Step 2:

Select the files in the PDA, Modem and CSC


Step 3:

Boot your device in download mode. If it shows a warning, press Volume Up key to continue

Step 4:

Connect your device to the computer via USB. The Odin textbox will now turn yellow


Step 5:

Click on Start. You will see a green line above the yellow box. And a blue line on the mobile device

Step 6:

Once it finishes. you'll see PASS! on odin and the device will restart automatically. After some time, it will reboot itself

Thus you have unbricked your Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360.
This can also be used when you have to install the stock firmware on the device
